Cheryl Kennedy t/a Busy Bee Virtual Bookkeeping is a Sole Trader in England and operates solely from the UK. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as a Data Controller, Registration No. ZA142549.  I am committed to the continued security of your data and the upholding of your privacy rights in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This includes handling, storing and deleting all data fairly and legally whilst held by me. How I use the information I collect about you:

As you would expect I only use the information you have provided me with to carry out my business operations and inform you of relevant updates about current and new services. The following outlines the specific uses of this information:

  • To record, process, deliver and complete any contracts entered into between you and me for the services I provide.
  • For my legal requirements for record keeping and tax obligations. 
  • I am required by HMRC to keep ID Documents in respect of the Anti-Money Laundering Check for 5 years beginning from; (1) the date a business relationship ends (2) the date a transaction is completed.
  • To enable me to improve my service in relation to customer requirements and market movements.
  • I may recommend services tailed to you based on previous engagements.
  • If consent has been acquired, I may contact you with promotional emails for new and special offers which I feel relevant and worthwhile.

My promise is to never sell, rent or exchange information and mailing lists.

 

How I ensure the security of your data and how long I keep it:

Cheryl Kennedy t/a Busy Bee Virtual Bookkeeping is committed to ensuring your privacy is protected and uses technical, physical and administrative security measures to enable me to be confident in keeping it that way. For example, this means that the business’s computer has firewall and password protection, any data held in hard copy has restricted access.  Any data held within the Cloud is stored with a provider which uses high level encryption.

While I am dedicated to securing my systems and services, you are responsible for securing and maintaining the privacy of your passwords and account registration information and verifying that the personal data I maintain about you is accurate and current.

 

Any information collected and used within the company is only retained whilst required in line with the purpose it was acquired for and then removed/deleted as appropriate. If you feel I need to update or remove any details held by me, please let me know so I can make the necessary amendments.
